About TopicKite and contact
TopicKite helps teachers, families and learners turn one word list into six activities: word search, bingo, flashcards, matching, word scramble and spelling practice. Make a task, play it here, or print a worksheet with a separate answer reference.
Made for learning wherever you are
The interface and guides are in English. Keep the regional spellings your learners need, including colour or color. Words can contain Latin letters with accents; clues may use other scripts. The tools do not claim to match a particular national curriculum or generate definitions. Use your own reviewed words, explanations and translations.
Simple tools with clear limits
Use 3–24 distinct words of 2–18 Latin letters. Review supplied clues for accuracy and ambiguity. Word searches and spelling matches check recognition; covered spelling and clue-first cards support recall. Activities are practice materials, not secure examinations or an assessment of a learner’s ability.
Saving and sharing
No account is required. Your lists and unfinished edits stay in this browser. Export a text backup to move a list between devices. Share links contain all words, clues and answers; do not include personal pupil information. Read the privacy information.
Using the website
You may use the tools to create and print your own learning materials. Use lists and clues you have permission to use, and check the result before teaching. We aim to keep the tools useful and correct; report a problem if an activity, answer reference or layout does not behave as expected.
Accessibility and support
The tools support keyboard controls, labelled fields and responsive layouts. Word searches use arrow keys and Enter or Space. Worksheets offer a paper alternative. If something prevents you using the site, describe the tool, browser and difficulty so the problem can be investigated. No independent accessibility certification is claimed.
